Francesco Bullo joined the UCSB Mechanical Engineering faculty in 2004. He received the "Laurea" degree Summa Cum Laude in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy in June 1994. He completed his Ph.D. in Control and Dynamical Systems from the California Institute of Technology in Summer 1999. His research focuses on geometric and dynamical systems methods in control theory, motion planning and coordination algorithms, and distributed and adaptive control. Application areas include (i) the design of autonomous, reliable, and agile vehicles and robots and (ii) the coordination of autonomous vehicle and sensor networks. |
