Systems Biology faces significant challenges due to the rapidly growing
wealth of information about biological systems, such as protein-protein interaction
networks, signaling networks, transcription networks, and metabolic
networks. There is no doubt that computational tools are required to process
and understand the avalanche of available data, but important questions remain
unanswered.
This talk will discuss the need to augment existing networks with additional
information and the research efforts in our group that are focused on understanding
the conformational flexibility and function of proteins.
