The Best Talk at the Mechanical Engineering Department Graduate Student Research Colloquium held on June 2, 2003 was awarded to Carolyn Gramlich. She is a student in Professor Homsy's group.

The poster awards went to Yanting Zhang, for her work entitled "Design and Fabrication of a Ring Electroosmotic Mixer (RECM) with 3D Integrated Electrodes;" and to Jason Sullivan, for work entitled "A Method for Measuring Optical Properties in Laser-Treated Glasses."
