ME Professor Kimberly Turner Elected Fellow of ASME

Mechanical Engineering Professor Kimberly Turner has been elected a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for her major contributions in the area of micro-electro-mechanical-systems, with additional recognition given for extensive service to her professional community. Professor Turner has served with ASME in numerous leadership roles for technical committees, in the organization of conferences, and has served as Chair of the ASME MEMS Division. Professor Turner's research has made significant contributions to bio-inspired adhesives and the use of resonant devices for sensing and signal processing, and she has authored over 50 journal papers on these topics, is listed an an inventor on 7 US patents, and regularly serves as a consultant for leading micro-systems companies.
